I saw Garlits, for the 1st time, @ Fontana (CA) for the Mickey Thompson 200 MPH meet, in November '64. I regularly watched The Snake (driving the Hawaiian for Leong) @ Lions, beginning in '64) and Landy (with his injected Dodge) beginning in '65. Lieberman, I saw, race at SoCal strips in '66, '67 and '68 when he used the big block Chevy, Ed "The Ace" and Snow, again, @ SoCal strips beginning in the middle 60's. Drag racing, in the 60's, was magic and so much fun..............
