The standard black and white cop cruiser is going green. Carbon Motors unveiled its E-7 cruiser in Washington, DC, when it announced its partnering with BMW to include a clean diesel motor in the new squad car. The six cylinder engine boasts 240 hp and will be about 40 percent more fuel efficient. Police vehicles use about 1.5 billion gallons of gasoline a year and emit 14 million tons of CO2. The company hopes that with a DOE loan of about $300 million it will be able to start production of the vehicle in Indiana in 2013, adding about 10,000 jobs in the state.
I am a doing my PHD on Business administration and I have some Questions rather than a statement ; I agree on the fact that it would bring Job opportunities and thats whats important ! But you cannot open a Business for a Specific to supply a single Country and Government Department which cant be resold! My Question is which other country would buy this Product ? or can ? u would say Europe because engine is BMW ;) but would they ? other than that it looks and feels like a Great Product
