Fairly detailed presentation of the gigantic Russian "Akula" ("Typhoon") class submarine. In size this sub is comparable to a WWII battleship or aircraft carrier. The footage is from various documentaries with music added.
Description of the Typhoon here:

Fearful machine for friends and enemies with gigantic destruction power. The interior is more scaring than the exterior, specially inside the nuclear reactor.

@88Dinger You are confusing the attack sub Akula class with the Typhoon class ballistic missile sub which is called the Akula by the Russians.

@hunkgod No it doesn't.

@kingbobnjoe There are a number of factors involved in finding a sub, but the most important is active detection vs passive detection. If a ship transmits actively (ie using active sonar) they will be detected at at least twice the distance that they detect anything. This is called counter-detection. As well when you look at the water profile there are "layers". If they are below or above these layers and your sensors are on the other side they can be very hard to detect. That is the Coles Notes

@skyvilla What? The Russians still operate Akulas. In fact the Indians leased one from them as well.

As interesting as this video is, I can't imagine how monotonous it must be when you're trapped in a metal tube for months at a time. I would have cabin fever like Jack Nicholson in the shining before too long. Not to mention there's no women around. Which can be nice for a few hours at a time, or maybe even a couple of days once in a while, but after a while I would need some pussy.
