This video introduces a series of narrated slideshows on the subject of the 70 Weeks Prophecy of Daniel. This is by far the most important Bible prophecy of all. The teachings presented by Gavin Finley MD, (www.EndTimePilgrim.org) are Biblically based and presented in a clear logical fashion. The calculations and the astronomical data are not difficult to grasp and as the viewers follow along and make the calculations they will come to their own conclusion that the first 69 weeks terminated with the first appearance of Messiah on Palm Sunday in 32 A.D. and followed four days later with His execution at Calvary. This is exceedingly important information and establishes the truth that there remains a future Seventieth Week left to run. This seven year period will see God's final determined covenant dealings with ALL His consecrated people before this time period in turn terminates with the Second Coming of Messiah.

Dispensational/futurists begin the 70 wks. (490 yrs.) from the wrong date (444 B.C.) and the wrong decree from Artaxerxes (Neh.2). The correct starting point is 457 B.C., and Artaxerxes' first decree (Ezra 7). If one adds 483 yrs. to 444 B.C., one comes to 39 A.D., which is too late for the crucifixion. If you begin in 457 B.C. and add 483 yrs.(69 wks.) you come to 27 A.D., the time of Jesus baptism and the beginning of the 70th week. It ends with the stoning of Stephen in Acts 7.
But Ezra did not complete the walls of Jerusalem city. So the decree given to Ezra is the same as decree given by Cyrus. There are in fact identical in purpose of all the 3 decrees. So which one is correct? King Cyrus' decree is the right one. See my points in the video response above. Thanks.
The decree or "word" was to deal with the restoration and rebuilding of the city of Jerusalem. Therefore, the royal decree of Cyrus issued in the year 538/537 B.C. (Ezra 1:2-4), which urged Jewish exiles to build "the house of God", that is, the temple, cannot be meant. Nor can the decree of Darius I (Ezra 6:1-12), which simply confirmed the decree already given by Cyrus. Not only this, but the 490 yr. continuous time element doesn't match to Cyrus' decree.
Gavin, I was studying the spring feast days and thought that the last feast days would have to be fulfilled with the same exactness as the spring feast days. Searching the net I found your website. I recommend it to all! I now understand that study together with the 70weeks prophecy with more clarity than ever before. Thank you. God bless you with more understanding to share.
I really appreciate the video presentation as well.
No ancient nation is known to have employed a 360-day year in complete disregard for the solar cycle of 365.25 days. Regarding ancient Israel, the "numerous chronological statements in Kings and Chronicles, reveal that OT authors used nothing but solar years. This consideration alone ought to be decisive against Anderson's theory of 'prophetic years' of 360 days." [G.L.Archer, "Daniel", Expositors Bible Commentary, ed. F.E. Gaebelein (Grand Rapids 1985), p.115]
the "commandment" in daniel 9:23 is the same one from daniel 9:25. it's a literal 70 weeks iin question. read the book of haggai. that vision was fulfilled by joshua and zerubbabel. nothing to do with jesus.
If this has been fulfilled in Jesus time as A-Millennial and Post-Millennial teach then Daniel the second chapter is out of place.
The feet of both clay and Iron was not a lot of countries in Jesus time but one ruling government. ROME.
Today we have almost 200 countries and are looking for a political leader as a one world government combined with the new technology as Daniel states in the 12th chapter.
Economic problems. Revelation 13. You decide if it is world wide. But he is right.
There are plenty of time prophecies that deal with antichrist, but Dan.9:24-27 is NOT one of them. This prophecy is completely Messianic in nature, nothing to do with antichrist. Yes, Dan.2 & 7 speaks about a divided Roman empire (this happened in 476 A.D.), then, the 'little horn' sprang up and has been in power ever since. This is 'the man of sin, son of perdition', the 'sea beast' (Rev.13:1-10), and 'scarlet harlot' (Rev.17). It reigned for 1260 literal YEARS before receiving a deadlywound
