Well although some of your previous comments recieved were rude and unecessary, I for one think you did a fantastic job... I'm going to an anime convention in June and can't decide if putting on the maiko make-up would kill my kimono look? What's your opinion? Second, yes... some maiko do wear blue eyeshadow.. I know that's what I've used in previous attempts at geisha. :) Great job! ^_^ I'd love your opinion on a yay or nay to the make-up for the convention!

I am actual geisha and this girl is pretty accurate on her descriptions.But as maiko our eyes are only painted red on the top and corners of our eyelids.Geisha can paint our own necks. There is a trick involved.But I like that she tried.

i know geisha can paint their own necks; this is a how-to video for those who want to do makeup for parties or costumes, not for real geisha, of course! so i think a person who had never done geisha makeup before might want to get some help with doing the back of her neck, right?

There IS a way for maiko to paint their own necks, watch the video "Maiko or geisha putting on face make-up in Kyoto." Should be listed in the related vids.

Maiko don't wear black eyeshadow, they wear pink eyeshadow. They also paint their eyebrows in a corresponding color.

you need a camera with better quality and put your face right front on the camera

u need too be more white.. ur eyes need to be mor dramatic.. ur eye brows need too be thinner... and u r not supposed to put brown lipstick on or all over ur top lip... and ur side lip should be the exact same color as ur pure white face.... not to be a bitch but if ur going to do it studie it more... that was a waste of 13 min and 6 seconds...

As a taikomochi student your really off base to be like this to her. The movie is a movie it adds dramatic effect to the life that a geisha lives, I am taikomochi a male counterpart to the female. Her looks is very pleasing and very well done. such disrespect of a woman is not tolerated.
