  • Please provide option to use mapping provider other than Google. They have a poor history of data privacy.

  • Can it import GPX?

  • I don't know what would I do without Lighroom. There are only two of this wonderful workflow programs which save so much time.

  • @wocrs Just had another look at this, and while the ‘Set Time Zone Offset’ in the Tracklog drop down of the Map module moves in one hour increments by default, one can also manually type in an offset, so entering -3.5 hours as a tracklog offset is indeed possible.

  • @thegorn It IS a beta, so suggestions on improvements for the final version should be directed to the LR 4 forums:

  • @erling999999 You need to better understand how Lightroom works with metadata. I wrote a blog post on this, and while YouTube won't let me post the link, if you search for: "Lightroom, File Management and Metadata" you'll find it.

    Mike.

  • Julieanne: Thanks much for this set of videos! I did a blog post specifically on using tracklog files with Lightroom because I hadn't found much info anywhere else. For some inexplicable reason YouTube doesn't allow links in comments, but if you search for: "Lightroom, Geolocation and .GPX files" you'll find it.

    Mike.

  • why with map module you are stuck with google maps? why not bing maps?

  • If you do this in Lightroom, use kind of stuck, cause it's not saving the GPS data to the actual RAW file, just saves it in the library file, and it follows up with export? If thats the solution, this is useless.... I want to save it to the RAW (.cr2) file, not just be stuck in lightroom catalog file....

  • "Some people like to manage images based on the people that are in the photographs"!

Just rub it in that it still is not possible to do this in Lightroom 4...
