I've been a life-long fan. One time at Ft Bragg in 1970, NC I passed Bob Shane in a small passage--he was leaving and I was entering the men's room. Many years later, 1993, the Trio was playing out on Long Island and I passed Bob Shane again...he was leaving and I was entering the men's room. Must be a story here...

I was fortunate enough to hear this version of the trio in South Carolina. Autographs from all three and George Grove and Roger Gambill were gracious enough to chat with me for a few minutes in their dressing room... what nice and talented guys! A shame that Roger Gambill died too young.
