  • I hav made some of thiss rock its just tonga branch rock its not as porus as yours but its been in fresh water for about a month i used portland cement ive been changin water on a daily basis how long should i do this for .

  • @shawnandamanda1 12 week should be fine make sure you check the water PH if this does not change the rock should be fine let it bake in the sun for two weeks just to make sure good luck.

  • @robert66707 Use fresh water for the first month and monitor the pH 8.0 make to change the water every day and check the salt level because the salt in the rock is going to dissolve.

  • @42OKing69 sorry Iv been busy make sure that if you put the rock in buckets you change the water every day the reson you need to change the water is because the rock bleaches out PH MAKE SURE YOU TEST THE WATER FOR SALT let cure for one month then just put the rock in the sun for a week and it should be safe

  • what else do you put in the water to make the rock "live" other than salt with the filter that you have. how can you tell if the rock is curd/live im converting my 55 gal freshwater to salt and need some help. thanks

  • @TheLeftylegend14 yes is will make sure that you let the rock cure for 3 weeks

  • so if I make some of this " live rock " and put it in a tank with coral lighting it will grow coral on it? Do you grow coral on your live rock?
