The year 2006 marked an extraordinary event for game shows when Fremantle Media and Granada America bumped heads to create a special mini-series. In order, Fremantle brought back seven of the most memorable game shows to ever bless adults and children of the 1960's to 1980's, one game per episode: The Price Is Right, Let's Make A Deal, Beat The Clock, Press Your Luck, Card Sharks, Match Game and Family Feud.

This is an introduction to the heart-pounding game of greed where spins can turn into dollars and prizes. And little mischievous crimson folk stand by to make one contestant's thrill a bankrupt spill. Price Is Right announcer Rich Fields narrates.

  • Are you going to reveal the rest of the episode as well?

  • I actually wanted to give this video to Michael Tiller. I hope he sees this video, and this comment.

  • Now McGovern is the new announcer/host of PYL - the Wii video game that is!

  • Good point, I wouldn't be surprised, considering Fremantle loves to feed long time viewers of the shows they bought butchered formats.

  • Second Chance before Press Your Luck started. Instead of Whammies it is Devils. The Pilot happen in the late 1970s. Then Press Your Luck started in 1983. Rich Fields and everyone else except the Lord make mistakes at least once.

  • Sept. 1983 - Sept. 1986

  • Don't blame him. They probably fed him the wrong information.

  • Let's see if my "Match Game" memory is correct based on celebrities but there is a catch to this game; only one celebrity sat in the same chair on the original version. George Foreman is in the chair occupied by Scoey Mitchell, Kathy Griffin is in the chair occupied by Brett Somers, Bruce Vilanch is in the chair occupied by Charles Nelson Reilly, Adrienne Curry is in the chair occupied by Jo Ann Fluge, Adam Carolla is in the chair occupied by Richard Dawson & Betty White sat in her own chair.

  • ...which I have seen, one week later

  • I've seen the Larson two-parter on GSN. Talk about intense!
