Water levels begin to rise near the campus of the Virginia Institute of Marine Science in Gloucester Point, VA at 8 am EST on November 12 2009 as the remnants of Tropical Storm Ida move up the Eastern Seaboard. Storm tides from this nor'easter are predicted to reach 2 to 4 ft above normal through Friday afternoon (Nov 13 2009). This will likely result in moderate to significant coastal flooding, with the greatest threat for flooding coming with the Thursday and Friday high-tide cycles
