GarageBand is my choice for music, I make it, I don't have to worry about the copyright thing. Granted, the llops may not be 100% copyright free but you can always play about with the built in instruments :P
I also use the music dot podshow dot com. In addition, I use a good deal of folk-style music, and I find folkies are very mellow about having their music used (non-commercially with attribution, which is all I do). I just email them and usually get replies pretty quickly.
I hate the scrolling comments, most of which are idiotic, irrelevant, or someone trying to show off.
