  • He's great with Sarah and with Whistlin' Joe (as 'Sunny Jim').

This is from there Bluebird years? Is Sarah playing the jug here?

  • Correct on both counts. Daddy Stovepipe's real name was Johnny Watson and Mississippi Sarah was his wife Sarah Watson.

  • @jaydub2003 What about Beans Hambone - El Morrow?

their reordings are on sinners and saints (1926-1931)

  • "Earliest Born blues player to perform"

  • Beyond cool..

If memory serve's thats a tissue & comb, not a jug though correct?.

  • No, but fans of Iron Butterfly aren't pleased.

    In A Gadda Da Vida!

  • Lol, that's my dad. He just loves blues and it's just a username. Maybe some cows are a bit ticked off that you have milk in your nickname even though you don't procduce any ;)

  • Yes She plays Jug .............a very nice and Rare record indeed

  • There's a middle aged white guy calling himself daddystovepipe and even posting videos calling himself that. He's good, but it ticks me off him stealing Stovepipe's name.

  • WOW! That is the best.

  • "Daddy was already 58 by 1935." Not 58, about 66. (!)

  • Great stuff! Can't believe Daddy was already 58 by 1935.
