  • beutiful gun. i have a WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER OBERNDORF 1900 6.5mm. hope someone can tell me in depth detail about the rifle

  • @ViolentEncounter yours is one of the early German contract built rifles ..

  • What war was this in?(Please reply)

  • @mcrfuse This rifle seen action in the Finnish Russian war in the 1930s Swedish volunteers fought against the russians it was also used in WW2 by resistance fighters from various countrys but Sweden stayed neutral through both wars

  • Here in Sweden you can get a fine old Swedish Mauser rifle almost for free, people that have them have a hard time to sell'em for around 20$. Alot of rifles goes to the irongrinder and disappear into oblivion. Your example looks like it's in mint condition ;) so treat it well and it will do amazing things up to 600 meters with just a diopter sight. /Marcus

  • @Mackan134 wow $20 i would buy many lol it makes me want to cry that they destroy them it is a shame they are one of the best made best shooting rifles ever ... they sell here for about $400 for a very nice one with all matching numbers.

  • Still the best action ever built in the entire world to date!! Never let it go, unless you sell to me...lolo

  • Where in the world did you find such a great rifle?! I've been looking for one over 20 years.

I'm wanting to rechamber it to a .338 Lapua. And of course, fix that horrible 90 degree bolt handle. Check out Larry Potterfield on YouTube. He shows how to fix the bolt handle to a more desirable angle, if you care to.

"How to finish up a replacement bolt handle"

I have a .270 FN Mauser with a down and swept back handle that looks fantastic!

    Best regards

  • I cut my teeth on the m/96 back in the early 80-ies. The instructors told us that if we knew how to handle it, we would be able to hit a "louse on a business card" from 650 yards... I never hit a louse from that distance, but it was a pretty good rifle :-) Nice to see those old-timers still going strong.

  • I picked up a 1906 example for $120 a year ago. Still have yet to shoot it...

  • Thanks for this video man! It helped me make my decision to buy a Swedish, and I couldn't be happier. I got it a few weeks ago and I put up a video of the first shot I took with it. More to come.

  • i am reseving one next time i go to oregon. anyone know where i can go to get more information on it and what i kneed to know about it

  • I have had one for many years and take it hunting when I can say it is the best of the mausers

the 6.5.55 is a very fast and flat shooting round

  • What a beautiful rifle, looks very high quality!

  • @valnar1 Hi, if you lived here in Sweden you could have my fathers m96 for free :) But in the other way i pay alot more for a new Remington 700 than you do over there ;)
