This has to be the most beautifull song ever!

why are people hating on Eric Bell. the man is a beast on guitar. his albums have my favorite solos. later the band started sounding more commercial. this is raw music.

This song was understatement. This is funkin amazing! The Hero and The Madman is another great song from this album. This songs are foundation of hard rock :)

And why has Tool not covered this!? Seems like a perfect fusion to me from my two favorite bands.

Good, but not "the real" thin lizzy, this is some waanabe psychedelic hippie thing, obviously driven by Eric Bell..not the real lizzy which developed later

Even though the Eric Bell era of Thin Lizzy is my least favorite era, that statement is, well, bullshit. Those first three years were VITAL for Lynott and Downey's development into the stars they became later, and while some of the songs were forgetable, there were several that weren't. This is one of them. Whiskey and The Rocker are two more...both of which were commonly requested at gigs many years after they were released and after Bell was long gone.

i agree, this was learning ground, especially for Phil as writer and performer.3 piece psychedelic hippie band was never Lynotts vision..I wasn't aware however that Eric bell went on to become "a star"!!! i must have missed something,clearly..

And what was Lynott's vision?
Keep in mind that three-piece bands followed in the style of Cream, plus they were cheaper to run. It didn't have much to do with a "vision" more so than popularity and convenience at the time.
This argument has nothing to do with the popularity with Eric Bell. Although you could make the same argument about Scott Gorham after he was in Lizzy, who's done very little as well.

Forgive me for repeating myself but I might have written this on other Lizzy vids: the ultimate rock band. No one like them. Under-rated more than any other rock band I can think of. This music never ages.

You can say that as many times as you want.
