No, the trailer doesn't ruin the movie. The whole point of the movie is the relationship between the father and the brothers. The fighting really isn't the main point of the movie, it doesn't matter who wins or who fights each other in the end. What matters is their relationships and how they've changed.

this movie MADE tom hardy as a leading man, he'd already established himself in band of brothers, black hawk down, inception ect... but this movie really showed what he can do on screen, the movie simply would not have worked without him.

For those of you out there who still don't get it.. The trailer does NOT ruin the movie. People who made it aren't stupid and the last fight between the brothers is shown on purpose because; 1 To emphasize that this movie is more about the relationship between them and their father 2 To make you focus on the deeper meaning of the movie than just the fights since you know the outcome and 3 Either way you can predict that they're gonna fight each other in the end once you start watching the movie
