Garchomp doesn't have any goddamn counters. Stop saying it does.

@abc12322389 Not only that, but it's tough work GETTING your ice sharder onto the field anyways. And what happens when you do? The Garchomp switches out. Not even ice shard is a definite counter, not to mention possibities of SDYache chomp and stuff of the like. That is still not to mention how well Garchomp abuses substitutes.

so if ice shard is the only reliable counter to garchomp then i would say that he should be uber. cmon ppl, ice shard is one move. the fact that you even have to think of a garchomp counter when making ur team says he is uber. what other pkmn to you make special accomidations for?

focus sash sets are destroyed by teh common stealth rock/ spikes or even sandstorm if it is in a sandstorm team. the problem is most pokemon are too frail to take two hits from garchomp. the ones that are faster will only take one hit and attack first next turn but they are usually two friail to take even ONE hit.

I don't think he's uber. He's only "uber" because some self-entitled idiots who believe that they are the "end-all-be-all" of competitive pokemon decided change the rules after being unpleasantly ass raped by Garchomps in battle.

Smogon isn't really credible because according to them Alakazam is a UU. Garchomp can be countered by sashed Mamoswine using ice shard. If you what after the Chomp is dead switch into a Pokemon to that can use wish and then switch back into Mamoswine.

i have to disagree on mence being banned in platinum.

dragonite also gets DD-Boosted outrages, and packs higher defences than mence and usually carries a yache berry( mence usually has lo in platinum)

plus, mence is SR-Weak, and chomp resists SR.

i agree on the chomp to uber thing, though.
