@lizzo1978 5 gears it's the same gearbox as the E55amg Mercedes, it holds gears right up to the redline in Sport mode but starts from 2nd when not in sport. Hope that helps!

@rs200000000000 I wouldn't go that far sir. They are for completely different markets and different buyers and the jag almost doubles the mustang's msrp. You get what you pay for, and, frankly, they have similar performance numbers. The mustang in fact beets the jag in several performance aspects and is definitely not a bad handler. Your ignorant statement is invalid

@lizzo1978 it most likly does have more gear... but he's going for speed. so 4th gear at its max is the fastest way to speed up. the other gears are basicly for fuel efficency while hwy driving.
take for example... he was doing 120km/h in second gear.... most cars driving on the hwy will be in there 5th or 6th gear to maximize fuel efficency.
