it's not real.

that'll probably take a few years to develop. having tv anywhere isn't even available on the iphone 3g or iphone 3gs. on the ipod touch, maybe next year. who knows? but it can't be that easy, to just plug in something to the dock and have tv. you'll need to have internet everywhere, like a 3g network or something. i doubt that apple will make an ipod touch with 3g.

but it's a nice concept

iphone 3.0 is supposed to allow 3rd party accessories to communicate with apps on the phone right? so why can't you use this and make an app for it. or for older ipod touches, a camera or gps or something useful that plugs in the 30 pin dock connector and communicates with an app written by the manufacturer.

isn't that possible?

No internet-TV but DVB-T. If you have in mind how small a USB-EyeTV Stick is ...

But at the moment no producer wants to realize the idea. But who knows, one day we get an iTVerverywhere-thing ad they will say it was their own idea. ;-)
