J.D Sumner is not even close to being Tim Riley. Sure he can sing a low note but can he do it a clearly as Tim? NO WAY

Opinion only; J. D. the lowest, no question, but not the most pleasing voice. Riley, powerful, very low, and accurate with pleasing voice. George, low enough, lyrical most pleasing voice and most accurate. Mike Holcomb, very low, possibly most powerful, accurate and pleasing voice until he fries at about F below Low C. Must mention London Paris, Isaaic Freeman, Jimmy Jones. My favorites are George Younce and Mike Holcomb.

Ivan Parker was more about being a show than being spiritual. A lot of those guys were really. I am really disappointed with the direction southern gospel has gone. I stopped listening to it about ten years ago. Whenever I run across the new stuff on Sirius it makes me gag.

Ray reese was smooth, Sumner could sing low, and Riley sounded like a chain saw that was fresh our of oil. He really is not that good.
