This is tutorial for vertex welding with edit mesh. Its an oldie but a goodie. Edit poly is the way to go these days, but the principle discussed here, does apply to Edit Poly as well. The operation is similar, but you are using "Target Weld" instead.

i've never dragged to weld, i just click one point then another with target weld on. But do you have tips for sharpening edges? For example when I turbosmooth for a look it looks way to soft, when i camfer it looks a mess..

how did you un-select only one vertex when you had all three selected,, and you only needed two without loosing the previous selection¿

something like alt + click, shift+click or what?
