Here's a new addition to the Fender Signature range of bass instruments - this time designed in collaboration with legendary Iron Maiden bassist and celebrity West Ham United supporter Steve Harris. This is a stunning looking instrument that has been given a Royal Blue Sparkle finish and has been paired with a Maple neck & fretboard and a chromed mirror scratch plate ...

This is a beast of a bass, based around a huge slab of Alder for the body and with a vintage tint one-piece Maple neck and fretboard with 20 medium jumbo frets. The Steve Harris Signature P:recision Bass uses a Seymour Duncan Basslines SPB-1 split-coil pick-up that is managed via a master volume and tone control ..

The Chrome hardware includes a Badass II bridge whilst the bass is fitted out with Steve's own signature custom flat wound Rotosound strings, the ends of which proudly display West Ham United's Claret & Blue colours. On the back of the headstock you'll find the Steve Harris signature logo and the bass also comes with a deluxe padded gig-bag.

by Gig Stig Legendary bass meistro Steve Harris has collaborated with Fender to produce this stunning Signature Precision Bass, the combination of Royal Blue Sparkle and a Maple neck provide for an eye-catching design. Steve's playing style is associated with fast and furious metal riffs, and as the band's original member, bassist, chief songwriter and de facto bandleader, Steve Harris is universally-touted as one of the most influential bassists the metal world has ever seen. Having used a succession of Precision basses, Fender have now paid tribute to Steve with the release of the Steve Harris Signature Precision bass. This bass is fairly heavy thanks to the huge slab of Alder that forms the body, however it does have great resonance and the bottom end is enhanced because of this ... The neck is expertly set-up, with great action and a fast fret board, tone-wise this is typical Fender Presicion sounds, plenty of low end and low mid frequencies and that great solid oomph that the Fender Precison delivers. I'm sure lost of bassists will enjoy reflecting the stage lights on the mirrored scratch plate ala Phil Lynott. This bass is not cheap, however it is a thing of beauty and will undoubtedly cross-over to the mainstream, so don't think you have to be an Iron Maiden fan to purchase this kick-ass bass ... • As a bassist, I masturbate to the pictures and videos of this bass.

  • @oeight74 :D :D :D owned xD

  • @piercedbydave A MIM is not even in the same class as this bass. This bass is made in Japan. Japanese Fenders are among the best out there. Dont get me wrong, I have owned MIM Fenders and loved them. Then I stepped up to MIA's, then traded my MIA's for my Fender 75RI Jazz and Fender MM4. Both made in Japan. I do agree, they are expensive brand new, definately buy used.

  • Great sound. Ugly as shit.

  • @camelpospisil LOL....

  • the only thing i don't like about this,is the gigbag.

    awesome bass,however XD

  • nothing againts Steve Harris and Iron Maiden but this bass is the ugliest bass I have ever seen...it looks like some fucking circus shit

  • i want this bass so bad

  • @Policefan234 , personaly, I wouldnt purchase a signature bass for an everyday player, i would put it in a display case and display it, or hang it on a wall somewhere. For a bass you would want to gig with..an american standard is awesome, even the mexican made standards are good for everyday thumping. Just my opinion, hell, buy what you want! If its a Fender, its probably good.

  • Hey can any1 help me. I was thinking about buying a new bass soon. I know for sure that I want a precision bass. Does any1 have any advice. I've narrowed it down to 4 possible basses that I might want. The steve harris p bass, roger waters p bass, mark hoppus p bass, or the sting p bass. Does anyone have experience or knowledge that would help me?
