is it not the catholic church that tried to assimilate and distroy the native culture in the new world and rape and torcher and kill there young childen and then creating a native saint to draw more people in to there evil clutches a slap in the face for the evils they done so sad

@fallbread First, you cannot group all Catholics into one group. That was mostly the Spanish, starting with Christopher Columbus. Second, Kateri walked to Mass every day no matter the weather. She had to flee her home in New York to go to New France because her tribe did not support her decision. She was a good Christian who helped others.

The Church does not make saints. People become saints with God's help.

her mother was caught in a war and the chief got kateri"s mother and the chief wanted kateri"S mother to marry him and they got marry and there was probelm her mother was a christian and her father was not then her family all died and when she turned 20 she finnlly recieved the batispm when she goes out to fetch water chidren will splash water all over her and say "Ha Ha!
