First track off the album "Oxygene" (Canadian pressing, Polydor 2310 555)

This is the album that helped define electronic music for many, many people. Originally released in late 1976 on the Disques Dreyfus (then known as Disques Motors) label in France, Polydor would later release this album internationally in the summer of 1977 and the album went on to become very well-known, especially part four. Personally, I think it's simply the best electronic music album I've ever heard. If you owned this album back in the late 1970's, I assure you, your head might have been blown out by the (then) state-of-the-art synthesizers that Jarre played on this album!

  • @BBQFanNo1 (no, no, -the JMJ genius sill untouched today / the club music is so poor...)

  • The thing is Jarre sounds more outdated than Schulze material when stacking each recordings from 1972 to 1977 up against Trance Music from 1996 to Present.

  • You are a typical ignorant minded human born after 1975 so that disqualifies you of concrete knowledge of history especially music history.

  • This is guy Schulze and the other guy Jarre are why we can hear Trance Music today. They are to Trance Music today what Moroder and Kraftwerk are to why we hear Hip Hop & Dance Music today.I used to think Tangerine Dream and Vangelis were the only ones behind Electric Music creation we hear today. In fact Schulze was a member of the early Tangerine Dream group.Sorry World but the Germans,Russians, and Mr Robert Moog started it all.

  • God had a time century capsule in His infinate wisdom and plan when He created these musically gifted Humans.
