I had this video hanging around, never posted! This is one impressive truck..and I don't think there's much in the way of terrain and poor roads that could stop it, particularly with the optional engine. This is one luxurious, tough truck!

  • If that's your what would you recommend when owning one because I'm gonna be buying one in November when I turn 18.?

  • @metalrain300 Unfortunately, it's not my truck...just videoed it because it was the "newest thing"...and it looks awesome! If you google as Avalanche2 did, you'll find articles about the bent frame problem. Buying one will depend on how you use it...if you intend to go fast in unknown offroad conditions, I'd say you have the potential for costly problems. If you use it moderately at safe speeds, it looks like it would be fine. Only you can decide how much risk to take. Thanks! :) Jack

  • That's what aftermarket parts are for and it's only the bump and that shouldn't be to hard to get parts to prevent it.

  • @metalrain300 Just read Avalanche2's post. Interesting reading! No doubt out of this can come a cooperative arrangement that will outfit the Raptor to perform in the conditions that the owner chooses. And perhaps make clear what the design limits are for the truck as shipped by Ford. Thanks! :) Jack

  • Everyone should google "Ford Raptor Bent Frame" to see how weak these things are. This isn't a race truck, its a standard, unstrenghtened F150 frame that cant handle any punishment. Despite the design flaw, Ford wont cover them under warranty either.

  • @Avalanche2 Not owning an off road vehicle, I was blissfully unaware of the problem. Thanks for bringing it to the attention of the viewers. From what I see, it's the typical battle of manufacturer vs driver...each blaming the other. Manufacturer says it's performing as designed, driver going too fast...driver saying it shouldn't be happening at all. One thing for sure..anyone contemplating buying one needs to make an informed decision! Thanks! :) Jack
