This is an upgrade I did to my Ham Shack PC using the Zalman HD-160XT case. It adds the following to my SDR Radio setup.

A radio style case.
A touchscreen display that acts an secondary display and control.
An IR remote for remote control of the software.
An integrated tuning knob

  • Looks HYBRID to me...Anyway, GOOD WORK OM!!

  • lol i had a similar idea years ago taking a low cost walmart shelf stereo and finding black brushed-aluminum cases in an attempt to make it look like a vintage nikko, if i could somehow hook up the meters. i hope the manufacturers lean to cosmetics more and more it helps. great clip. dare i ask how you hooked up the tuning knob? or is it simply a usb controller?

  • Great concept. Definitely something manufacturers should consider. May bring a few more boat anchor fans into SDR. Nice work.
