Extreme thunderstorm relentless lightning 017

Constant flashes of lightning in a crazy storm. There was no break between the strobe like flashes- thunder was consistent. It must have been right overhead- but I have never seen anything like it! This video was taken in Bar Harbor, Maine, just outside of Acadia National Park.

This brings back some bad memories...

I've always been terrified of lightning. When we moved to Alaska, I got to live 3 years in peaceful, lightning free rains. However, when we recently moved to Indiana, while we were just on the border of North Dakota/Minnesota, we stopped at an RV park for the night. Little did I know I would be jolted awake in the middle of the night with my window wide open while there was strobe light lightning outside and tornadoes dropping close by.
