  • @melissais Her early albums resonated with me so strongly back in my teens and early twenties, the way the more recent ones do now at thirty. Being able to grow up with all these funny, insightful songs as our personal soundtracks is such a rad gift. Definitely grateful that Ani keeps rolling along. :)

  • @blinkandlaugh agreed. I love her! :)

  • @20somethingstories That's a really good story. :) I feel bad, I'm 18 and I just discovered Ani like 2 years ago. I'm in love.

  • I think it's beautiful that Ani has a child now but I really want to see her make more work. I don't want to catch haters by saying this but I think it's semi right, I think Ani spoke to me more with her earlier work.

  • This was the first time I'd heard of Ani. That was back when it was hard to find her albums in record stores. I had a mental list of all the places near me and I'd save up my lunch money and try to get someone to drive me 20 or 30 miles away just to buy a CD, which she had a lot of, even then. (Oh my, how the times have changed...)

  • @mark1800 That was a segment (it was the whole thing) on what was then a weekly music news program called 'MTV News' which was hosted by Kurt Loder and Tabitha Soren, the woman who interviewed Ani. It was the first time I'd heard of Ani. That was back when it was hard to find her albums in record stores. I had a mental list of all the places near me and I'd save up my lunch money and try to get someone to drive me 20 or 30 miles away just to buy a CD. Oh my, how the times have changed...

  • "its hard enough to find somebody you can stand for more than 10 minutes, so, like, you shouldn't narrow your options"...

    that is so ani.

  • "make me an offer!" <3

god I wish it was 1995 again.

  • She really has a fantastic personality, I think it bleeds through to her music, that's what makes it so intoxicating.

  • "Yeah, Make me an offer!" Hahahahha!!! She's fucking fantastic. I'm so happy to see this, thanks a bunch!
