The ride begins at 3:40. Before boarding, take a stroll through the cue house. Notice how things have changed over the past 24 years: the uniforms, the people, and the ride itself! If you have ridden it lately, you'll notice that there used to be a waterfall, animations, and theAce Hotel & Saloon had better days back then. Enjoy this blast from the past!

  • I've never been to SFOT, but I went to SFOG many times in the 80s as a kid... it's funny to see big crews at each ride instead of the meager staffing they have now. Cool video.

  • Yes, thanks for posting these. Went there as a kid in the 80s too. Great to look back in time like this.

  • You are a god for posting these vids. I went here as a kid w/ my family around the same time...'86 or '87. Thanks for all the videos!!

  • No, Mr. Freeze has only been around for a few years.

Even though there is much praise for the new 'mega-coasters' the original ones such as The Mine Train will always be my first choice.

As a matter of fact, this was the first coaster I have ever been on.

    Thanks for posting this!

  • I wish they would put back in the cave and waterfall after the second lift. I remember that from my rides in the 70's. It's just kinda blah now.

  • DAYmmm MR. FREEZE IZ NOT EVEN DER
