This a playthrough of Cocoron on the Famicom, a Mega Man-esque game where you can play as a character you create YOURSELF!

Too bad the game was only released in Japan... Good thing I got a translated copy!

Yes, this game got costumizable characters, as well as a lot of great music!
(Don't try to rub your ears, some of the music in this game was used in "Eversion" - a freeware game!)

The game is set inside a dream world, and you have to traverse 5 locations to save the people there.

And yes, you can actually pick different paths on the map, from where you are to where you're going, the levels will be different.

I had fun recording this game, but there was some hard parts, like the fight with the Joker, as well as the two Tapir fights. Those hacked away at the number of savestates I used.

A lot of lives were found on the way, and one had to be sacrificed in order to fight Tapir properly.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this Longplay, and I will be back with more! (Hopefully)

  • By far, the most surprisingly kickass game I've ever played. Very Mega Man-esque. The soundtrack is even more badass.

  • @RocMegamanX Sorry kid but the worst racists are the people who intentionally are trying to spot racism everywhere.

Japs simply don't care if they are being called as japs and that is why they are awesome along with many other ways they are awesome. They just don't simply care about meaning of a insignificant word that really doesn't mean a shit to anyone but to a white man.

The world will be a much better place when people begins to realize what racism actually is.

    You for one, don't know.

  • @DBoy2029

And yet Mario gets greenlit. Double Standards, much, game industry?

  • @Bastiest

Since the term was used in a historically derogatory(i.e. RACIST) context, and could still be considered derogatory, that's why I see it as a big deal. Saying that use of the J-word isn't a big deal is like saying the "N-word" isn't a big deal. And let's not start with the "double standards" surrounding the N-Word, because the thing is: You don't see Asian-American friends calling each other the J-word, the C-word, or whatever derogatory term the Koreans were/are called.

  • @RocMegamanX Could you stuff that racist card back to your arse where you picked it from?

Not only it is is stupid that people say "jap" is anyway offensive to anyone but also japanese people just doesn't simply care.

That's just as stupid as saying that Finn is offensive form of Finland.

Just don't simply care because it's stupid to go apeshit about ridiculous things like that.

I mean seriously, it's three first letters from the full name. There is just no way to find it even KINDA offensive.

  • @Donatello97

Didn't the US also make Scribblenauts for the DS? I heard that game was pretty good. I rented it once, and it was OK, but some of the puzzles kinda stumped me, so I had to use a walkthrough for help.

The US also has Wayforward, Tim Schaefer, and Tom Fulp from Newgrounds as game developers. Then again, they are kinda the minority, but at least give American developers more credit.

  • @Bastiest

Um...couldn't you just say "Japanese developers" instead of "j**s"? That term is KINDA offensive.

  • @Romuluzz

Although Retro studios in the US created the brilliant Metroid Prime series, along with the new Donkey Kong country, but they're half nintendo and japanese.

Anyways, what do US developers create?

Fucking Gears of War, Call of Duty, Grand theft Auto, Halo, Rock Band and Guitar Hero...All of those franchises are everything i can't stand about gaming. At least EA made Dead Space. ;p

  • @Romuluzz

Japanese developers are king, there's no comparison. Instead, the US like to release uncreative post appocolyptic SCFI War themed games with big guns and tons of goopy blood for all of these stupid young next generation kiddies to play.

Oh how i love Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Mega Man, Castlevania, Punch-Out!! Resident Evil, Wario Land, Kid icarus, SSBros, Donkey Kong, Kirby, Street Fighter ect ect.....Ya last time i checked those were from japan. durp! lol

  • @Bastiest

Of course we can't forget those! ^^
