I agree, gaseki. I think the YKTR version had more passion, or angst. I'd call this the "lay down and slowly die" version.

Whatever, a lot of people despise the 80's and will go out of their way to say this version is better just despite that decade. To each his or her own.

The tone is perfect for this song I think... it shows the passion and the sorrow - so I agree damienxxxpele
