GreekSpear you are right. Those spanish guys only know how to hit and fall , but we (the Greeks) play without hitting or faking fouls.

@exileonmainst72 Diamantidis is the best and he proved it this year...The first European to become Season MVP, Best defender, Final-4 MVP, part of All-Euroleague team, 3rd time European champion and to sum up, THE BEST

PS Of course Navarro is a different class from Diamantidis and Papaloukas. Diamantidis is a class alone, the top, and all the others are below him (nowadays)

Navarro in another level is an overstatement i think. Papaloukas and Diamantidis have a slight advantage in their individual awards for playing in euroleague and 1 more euroleague tittle than Navarro (Papaloukas is already voted as one of the top 35 euroleague players of all times). Navarro is also in top level, especially in scoring, but if i wanted more versatility from a guard i would pick teo or diamantidis (5 times defensive palyer of euroleague).

I see your point, but, really, I don't see such a spanish robbery in 2007 match against Greece. Greece played a rough game (Tsartsaris hit Garbajosa without any reason, for example).

Also, I think Navarro is maybe the best european guard right now, and I'm not saying this because he is spanish, you only have to remember what a great game he played in the World final in 2006. Papaloukas it's very good and I like Diamantidis, but Navarro is, I believe, in another level.

In 2009 and 2006 Spain won fairly, but claiming Greece was helped by referees in 2007, in order to balance the opposite side's claims (which are rational if you actually watch the video)? I don't think you can convince anyone.

I don't like excuses and whinning about referees decisions and stuff, but just remember who are the masters of excuses when they lose (e.g 1996 pao - barcelona) .

Greece has better guards than navarro who didn't play in 2009 (Papaloukas, Diamantidis)

Stop saying stupid yhings about refrees and learn to be gracious in defeat. Greece got used to be helped by the FIBA refrees in the past, and now they doesn't now what to say when they lose.

In 2007 Spain won fairly, in fact, the refrees helped Greece!! That technical foul to Rudy is the prove.

Greece doesn't have half the quality of spanish team players. Does your team have players like Rudy, Navarro or Reyes? Of course no!
