I've always wanted to see Alan Bates's performance. Thanks for posting it! I think Pinter's delivery was better than Bates's when he played the part of Nicholas but he did have the advantage of having wrote the play in the first place. Bates was very good as well however. What an awesome piece of drama it is, as relevant today as when it was written in 1984.

2 of my favourite human beings alas both gone now....pinter and alan bates.. they dont make men like them anymore.
