Margaret Maye through Bravo International and Epilepsy Cure Initiative (ECI) is dedicated to creating awareness and understanding of epilepsy, to promote ketogenic diet therapies, supporting epilepsy research and informing the public about the urgent need for increased efforts in epilepsy research. As well as advocating for a more effective and improved formalized epilepsy care system being brought to Canada.
Anyone at any age can develop epilepsy. Epilepsy is a common disorder and affects 50 million worldwide and more than 300 000 Canadians, about 1/3 of these people live with uncontrolled seizures.
