@MrYoda926 I don't know what you're talking about. As someone with [e:] in his native language, I can only commend the singers for their consistent and correct pronunciation of this vowel. I assume the fact that it sounds brighter than the [ɛ:] that English speakers might substitute in order to avoid the offglide of [ej] might make it sound more like [i:] in your ears.

I gotta say, pronunciation is a little scattered...I'm hearing everything from gow-dee-tee to the gow-dee-tay to gow-day-tay...the last of which is the closest to the actual pronunciation. That being said, this is the best I've been able to find on YouTube. I'm having flashbacks to chamber choir :D

i hate when this peice is taken slowly. i love how upbeat this one is, the others are just too depressing
