New Whistles Lochaber, Farewell Whalley Range, Michael reel

Hey all,

Got my new Tony Dixon whistles earlier this week and decided to post a new video. Still getting used to the Low D, but I'm lovin it! This is a Low and High D, and I have a Low F as well. Probably post one with it sometime soon.

This is the Lochaber Badger, Farewell to Whalley Range, and Michael Russells reel. Ignore the fingers not being completely synced up please...haven't figure out how to use iMovie with my better recording system so i just imported the audio and got the video as synced up as I could...but I'm lazy and didn't feel like making it perfect...I was too excited that I have actually good recording equipment working now...

Yeah! take some getting used to for low range but great once you get used to them!

Low whistles sound haunting, I think - I love them :D I'm hoping to get a low G soon, to go with my low D~

That first tune - swing it more. It has pauses for effect, and you could make sound even better :)

Again, don't rush your playing. Take your time.

Awesome! I have a Dixon trad in Eb and I love it. The site I ordered from was out of the Dixon trads in high D, but I am planning to get one soon. Probably no low whistles in my immediate future (I'm having enough trouble going from high D to high C...a low whistle will probably be WAY too big for my hands) but they do sound great.
