this was my all time favorite game! you could even play it in split screen XD nowadays you cant even do that with ace combat 6 on xbox360. only my brother never wanted to play this game with me... they preferred tekken...

The original game had the 'easy' controls assigned to default, but since then the default controls should be far more familiar as they control roll and pitch rather than 'turning'.

Its not a hardcore flight sim, but its certainly not Afterburner either. From AC04 onwards, you can at least learn the basics of how to control an aircraft with roll, pitch and yaw.

The thing about the other games is that the emphasis isn't so much on flight simulation as -avionics- simulation. LOMAC especially.
