Did you ever try the skullcandy skullcrushers my buddy has a set and said that tgey work good for dubstep because of the subwoofer.

@zman914 Ya i have. They do have good bass but the mids and highs are muffled. If you have ever heard monitor headphones, once you get used to them, everything else sounds extremely artificial.

These are monitor headphones, the bass shouldn't be overwhelming. I'm not sure you can really compare them to beats or skullcandy. Like you said those are commercial, they are "prettied up" with all kinds of sound enhancers and whatnot, these are clear and a pure sound, so that when you are mixing a track, you can get everything just perfect.

@Honker103 Ya I am very aware of that. They sound amazing. And you can use professional equalizers on them to get a great sound of your choice. I compared them to the beats in terms of actual sound quality and comfort, not artificial sound and looks. Thanks for the comment!
