Ah..Pancake Day. I remember making those cakes for the townspeople when I was young. And brrrrr..marching in the parade. When at the University of Kansas and couldn't get home to Liberal on Shrove Tuesday, I made pancakes for my dorm mates..in a POPCORN POPPER- and told everyone about our tradition. The racing women..such athletes..! A great town holiday.. to get to compete with Olney England gave us a global connection that shaped our lives!

What an awesome town celebration ! Unique. TOUGH women-athletes all. Look at that weather! I always loved Pancake Day..remember makin those cakes when I was little..and-brrrrr-marching in the parade. Even making pancakes in a POPCORN POPPER for my dorm mates at the University of Kansas on 'the day' when I couldn't get back home...wow

it was very cold that day. I was at the church were it was warm :)
