Ultima Online: Kingdom Reborn - Comparing the Clients

This is a clip where you can see my house in both clients, sadly I couldn't get fraps working with the 2D client so screenshots was the best I could do.

I've been playing for about 5 years now, so in my opinion both clients have flaws that rub you the wrong way. The 2D client has a lot of new items added to the game that doesn't fit in with the rest of the graphics, the new UOKR client has a lot of graphic glitches and for example a dyetub or banner has one solid colour instead of just the dye or banner being coloured. These are just examples, they are both very beautiful and serve their purpose well.

@felipao210294 Pay, I think there is several different payment plans. I used to go with the 3 month though at those later stages I went with a 5 month I think. I can't remember, it's been a long time now.

There are free servers, they're legal too so if you want to play it for free there is several options but the servers vary depending on who hosts it. Many people change how the game looks etc.

While I love old games (which my channel should show) and the way they look, it may be nice to try out a more modern UO for a change. I mean, the 2D client has a serious lack of detail -- which I *suppose* is really charming, but still. UO always did look older than it was, though.

But why am I explaining myself? Time to go get KR!

@fujiwra I played a 2-week trial of UO about a month ago, and it's STILL fun, only now has a much better new player intro. That's pretty awesome for a game that's been out & running continuously as long as UO has..

@ssjdarkfox Oh yeah, you can still totally just pick which one you want to use. I'm pretty sure there's no difference in price or which servers you can play or anything, which is pretty impressive when you think about it.

@Pentazemin UO has been a horrible dying game for awhile, and it's pretty much impossible for it to get a surge in popularity and kill off anything.

@brageyboy You're right. They're going about it the wrong way. UO will never look graphically apealing next to all the other modern games on the shelves so they should instead focus on catering for us veterans making us enjoy it like we used to, before they wreaked havoc on the game. They seem to ignore those of us who played since it's very beginning in favour of people who barely scratched the surface of what the game has to offer.

ahhh i havent heard this music in such a long time i miss UO i never played the kingdom reborn....it looks nice but it lacks somthing ultima online i played towards the end of it is this game still running??

2D client is by far the best thing ever to happen 3D was the worst to happen thumbs up if you agree I am known as Bugs B on test center the most hated player on that shard LMFAO
