That is so epicly cool and I can't believe you didn't win (of course, I don't know anything about the judging criteria but that doesn't make your costume and less cool). Saw the comment below too... You designed it yourself too, thats like WOW.
What materials did you use to make it? And where can a normal person wish to obtain these materials? xD
I was thinking of cosplaying next year at Avcon :D

That is literally the coolest costume I've ever seen, really ambitious! Those robots are perhaps my favourite Ghibli creations. How long did it take you to make? Did you design the whole thing yourself?

Thanks so much, It took me 3 months, I would have like to spend more time on it, but thats all the notice I was given between comps..
Yep sure did design the whole thing my self :D, that was probably the longest part :D lots of trial an error, I always make a paper version before I create life size
