@MrMedal77 The author of Animal Farm was a Marksist. Animal farm was not against communism. It tried to show how communism worked (not very well). It reminded me merely of Animal farm not because of the story but the cartoons.

This is not Disney thinking. This is the arrogant conventional thinking of the 1940s. Modern notions of ecology don't really get going until the 1950s. In the 1940s they are spraying DDT directly onto people. In the 1950s and into the 1960s, brush-clearing workers are getting sprayed with arsenic in North America. Dousing themselves with "harmless" herbicides to cool off in summer. There was still little attention being paid to long-term consequences of expedient short-term solutions.

It's important to realize that this video was released in 1943! Lots of things have changed since then--but the basic principles remain the same. Eliminate standing water around your home whenever possible by dumping birdbaths and disposing of those things that may collect water. Keep ponds stocked with fish. And fill in spots that flood regularly with water! Fortunately Malaria is hardly a problem anymore in the U.S.--mostly thanks to messages like these and the programs created in the 40s
