@SeberHusky Not racist. They were just trying to appeal to the market that was most likely to buy their product. Namely, young black people who couldn't afford a monthly phone contract. I bet it was a pretty successful advertising campaign even though I can hardly even tell what the commercial is for. Even the name is as "gangster" as possible. Boost Mobile. Sounds a lot more "gangster" than Verizon Wireless or US Cellular.
