My "dear friend" who is also my DIR. asked me over and over for just a little more for the Unit, can you order just $200-300-400 more this month, this qtr. We deserve to get this award or that. She bankrupted her own mom!!

I am always amazed by people unwilling to learn. Invest in Sandy Botkin, Ron Mueller, or an Income Tax`Strategy course on eBay. Yes there are IRS rules that have to be followed (the courses and materials are Tax Deductible). Think about it, why do people drive Hummers? They get a $38,000 write off the first year and $0.50 a mile deduction FOR THOSE THAT KNOW HOW! Prepaid legal isn't a bad deal for $16 a month as back-up.

Google for Brenda Konchar and see what happens when you start deducting vacations and milage.
The IRS has some really strict rules about pro-rating for personal use. You must have a 100% business-only internet connection and cell phone or you have to take only a partial deduction.

You didn't even acknowledge the part-time work scenario. If you work part time at $10/hr. 20hrs a week after taxes and expenses it's $2.55/hr and on average 25 hours away from your family. (5 hours travel time a week). How does that even compare? I would rather associate with positive goal minded people, improving my life, then go to a low paying job listening to people cuss and complain all day. But I'm 13, what do I know.

Of course the idea is to make a profit in any Home Based Business. 99% of American women wear make-up, and atleast 25% lik Mary Kay products (I imagine you even like a few). As far as expenses, you convert your non-expense items to expense (tax deductible expenses. Here are some examples:
Car 10,000 Miles....$5,050.00
Vacation - ...........$2,500.00
Medical - ..............500.00
Cable/Internet.........1,200.0
0 Cell Phone.............1,200.00
Home Office............2,000.00

In your video you list a $13 lipstick sale and $4.55 Expenses, would you clarify WHAT Expenses you are including in that sale?

Mary Kay training material suggests that 60% of the retail should be plowed back into to your business to cover expenses and to buy product to store in your closet in case someone wants to buy it.
Expenses: phone bills, website, catalogs, cost of getting to the client for beauty shows, discount and free product as inducement to buy, hostess gifts ... it all comes out of the consultant's slim "profits".

Wow, I'm 13 years old and I know that Any Home Based business will save the average family $15,000-$20,000 in write-offs or $4,000-$6,000 actual cash. Even if you bought $200 a month and gave MK Products away, you would have $1,600- $3,600 more cash per year!? So what's the problem? I think most people are too lazy to keep records..they would rather work part-time for $10/hr, which is $2.55/hr after taxes and expenses. What do you think?

Here's the problem with "home business write-offs" ... to get back $4,000 from taxes you have to incur $15,000 in expenses. And if your home business loses money year after year, the IRS comes looking for you for the back taxes.
