It is fun, but it has its problems.

Hard to assemble because it is mostly preassembled. Assembled units get in the way of nuts and bolts that need to be put in place.

I'm having range problems with mine. It might be defective, I have a bad battery, or interference with something.

Camera quality is not too great, but it works.

I think my claw motor is going to strip out soon after a few days use. It is grinding.

  • Hey im getting this, do you think its worth getting the wrist kit?

  • Don't know.

  • i still have the original one works great still

  • The Vex kit is not the original kit either.

Innovation First made an EDUBOT kit prior to creating the Vex line.

  • Great job. This is pretty cool. I think you need to enter it in a robot war contest. IT looks strong. How much did this cost?

  • I picked it up on Amazon for $60.

I think they might have screwed up the price, now they are $160. Ebay has them cheaper than $160.

  • mainly because its more of a toy and not one of the actual vex kits that must be completely built i might as well use one of their kits and buy the camera seperatley

  • its so worth it a limited edition vex robot im getting one to

  • because all of the gears are the same you can take the motor off anf move it to any of the other axils without losing any power or speed.

  • the antena sleeve doesnt come with the vexplorer kit. U can buy it seperatly for like $5.

  • can you use both the 9.6v and 7.2v packs with the vexplorer? and it says that the reciever runs on 6 1.5v batteries meaning 9 volts in total, how can you use a 7.2 volt pack?
