I saw them the first time they played the Garden in 1989. They were the new thing. Now they are elder statesmen of rock. Christ, I'm getting old. AAAAGGHHHHH!!!
wow, same page, same paragraph, smart and on the money commentary...and if, by some far flung chance you read this michael, dig the concensus: that this is the quintessence of yr music, this is the vibe: sweeping pastoral with an edge to bite into, please
Agreed. Great show, could've a little more variety in pace. Something as simple as a Nightswimming or Perfect Circle thrown in would have been welcome. Houston doesn't really do it for me.
That said, with Heron House, Harborcoat, Driver 8, and Pretty Persuasion (as well as the more often-played but always awesome These Days and Begin the Begin), who can complain?
and you're right about Turn You Inside Out: he had the damn megaphone for Orange Crush anyway, why not turn us inside out?
good quality, thanks. This show rocked. Just wish they'd varied speeds a bit, couple of ballads mixed in, but they're trying to re-establish the hard edge with both the album and the set list. To that end, why not play Turn You Inside Out?

You said it. I'm a huge fan of the older stuff and I was in heaven that evening!
