guys if you actually listened to what he is saying you'd understand that he isn't meaning it in a way that he doesn't like or respect Daughtry, it's just a good banter theme and a way for people to request his songs :) at the end he said Daughtry's a "great guy" so calm down....

Eek! Such hostility! David was clearly making a joke. I'm sure he'd love to have half the success of Daughtry and respects the guy because of it. True about the singles, but every single after those from this album will have been penned by David. That's pretty cool to me.

LOL. this is one funny banter. David has always admired Daughtry but I bet countless comparison has been made and it's not really good for both Chris and David. They have different music, different voices and personalities. The only thing they have in common is Idol.

wow. wonder why everyone's so hostile about this? We can all appreciate the amount of fame Daughtry has. Also, the amount of fame David Cook has. Be it not as much as Daughtry (just yet) They are still amazing singers. He was making a joke. He even pointed out "daughtry is a Nice Guy" he wasn't making fun. at all.

He wasn't encouraging them to boo.He's just making a point, and clearly NOT trying to be disrespectful. DC's always saying how he looks up to Daughtry for their success and kind of opening up the rock thing (along with Bo Bice) on Idol. pretty much just to get people to request his songs =)

You are entitled to your opinion, as are we all. But it is only an opinion that Daughtry is best. In my opinion, Cook is the best? Which of us is right? It's all subjective. For me, Cook is way ahead of Daughtry, although I bought his album & like it. For you, Daughtry is better. I have no problem with that. But really, don't state that Daughtry is the best as if that is incontrovertible fact, because it is ONLY an opinion. They are BOTH great musicians & awesome human beings.
