  • in my chior we have to sing this. our lyrics are a little diffrent. my chior teacher actually helped write this song.

  • There are versions with 3, 4, 5 or 7 verses. If you google it, you 'll find it. This version I know about 40 years and I have it in my mind so.

  • you mean he adapted it? it's a traditional irish working song from the building of the great railway.

  • I think, it is not important to discuss that. This is folk and it is a fine song and it is a song about working with a little ironic smile.
