This magnificent site is located some 13 miles west of Stornoway. The site is complex, combining grandeur, design and astronomy. It consists of a diminutive stone circle, a central stone, an avenue, three rows and a chambered tomb. Construction was probably undertaken in phases commencing in the Early Bronze Age around 2200BC.
