He is absolutely right! This is exactly what the Vedas taught. It was due to the nature of home schooling that people starting thinking of varnas as castes. Varnas are based on the predominate merit of the person and it is never based on birth unless someone continues the line by proving their merit.

Wonderful and accurate explanation. I hope many Hindus can learn from this guy and actually read the Vedic scriptures. Understanding this fundamental truth will help create a better society. The Vedas says that all are equal, no one is superior or inferior. God Bless all.

I think if every Hindu were to think of the caste system on these terms it would greatly eradicate the social divisions that hinder our progress as a people.
