I find it funny how Edmonton and their fans and announcers bitched and moaned about Boogaard being a talentless goon, but the second they signed Steve MacIntyre, they suddenly realized the spot in the game for enforcers and the important role they play. And Boogaard's really stepped up his game this year. He isn't head hunting as much, but actually forechecking and actually getting involved crashing the net and making some opportunities.

The cross check to the head was a penalty. Shouldn't have been called a high-stick though.

The first call I'll agree with. But the second penalty was ridiculous. High sticking? The announcers were bad too. The puck was gone for 3 seconds? I only counted 2, and the video was in slow motion. So it would be more like 1, or 1 1/2 seconds.

haha thanks boogard thanks for playing dummy cant count to ten without having to tie your shoes someone should end boogards career tough guys like laraque dont pull this type of shit while still having a role in putting up atleast some points .. if i was a coach i would have told my players to put a knee on knee on this guy and destroy his mcl and acl so he walks with a limp the rest of his life

having a big..physical guy, is a good thing. Every team needs to be physical, or they will get walked all over, but I gotta agree..boogaard is nothing but a talentless goon, who can hardly handle the puck. In the old NHL, I could see where he fit in..but I thought the NHL redesigned the game so that there would be no room for players like this.

fuck that, if any of you guys actually played hockey you would all realize how much of a valuable asset boogaard is to the wild, and hardly and of his hits are like this, this is simply a fluke.
